7 Steps to Reclaim a Positive Sleep Experience

Posted Leave a commentPosted in About Me, Self-care

7 Steps to Reclaim a Positive Sleep Experience I love sleep.  I love the warmth and softness of my bed and the promise that sleep holds as you approach it knowing you will get a good night’s sleep.  It promises rest, rejuvenation, a fresh start.  It is such a simple and natural part of life that it is so easy to take it for granted … until your sleep experience is disrupted.  This is my experience at the moment. I am a light sleeper so I am used to my sleep being disrupted during the night.  The rain falling, the […]

2019 is my year to honour the sacred in life.

Posted Leave a commentPosted in About Me, Desire map, Word of the Year

2019 is my year to honour Sacred. Each year I choose a word of the year rather than setting myself ‘resolutions’.  I have done this process for about 6 years now and I love it! I spend some time at the cusp of the new year reflecting on the year that is leaving and visioning the year that is to come.  I write it out in my journal and on worksheets that I download.  Its a beautiful process to clear yourself of any residual feelings and thoughts from the previous year and to prepare for the days ahead. This year […]

The Desire Map

An Introduction to the Desire Map

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Desire map

You have a say in your life. What comes into our cupboards and closets, what goes into our bodies, the people with whom we spend our free time, the gifts we give, how we worship, the thoughts we focus on. Clutter is a choice. Anger is a choice. Resentment is a choice. But so are spaciousness, flexibility, laughter, compassion, tenderness, and resilience. Choosing to lean into the feelings you most want to feel is one of the most powerful things you can do with your life. The Desire Map workshops, based on the best seller by Danielle LaPorte, take your through […]

Samhain Blessings

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Festival

Wishing you a Blessed Samhain The modern seasonal celebration of Halloween is steeped in a deep history.  It stems from the ancestral festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-ain) .  Samhain marks the end of the Harvests and the descent of the Goddess into the Underworld. In my Family we do not celebrate Samhain on a fixed date each year.  We watch for a specific seasonal occurrence.  When that sign is seen we honour the transition of the season from Harvest to the Darkening of the Year. As a Priestess of Brigid I change my altar at this time to honour Her aspects […]

Why releasing is a daily practice you should begin today…

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Self-care

Why Releasing is a daily practice you should begin today… As we go about our daily lives, every one of us encounters numerous challenges and joys.  Everyday we come across the stories and emotions of other people’s lives.  These effect us in many different ways, but they do effect us.  Typically we ‘take on’ the troubles of others – to support the ones care for, we often compromise our own well-being.  The very act of being human, of being a compassionate individual, can be draining.  Our own emotional vessel becomes topped up  – the cares of others layering over our […]

Introducing Mindfulness

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Mindfulness

Introducing Mindfulness… I am currently training to become a mindfulness practitioner … and I am loving it! My decision to dive deeper into mindfulness was made so that I could add some new techniques into my Holistic Coaching practice.  I often work techniques into sessions with clients to guide them towards more clarity or gratitude, but I had never really thought of any of my techniques under the title Mindfulness. After a bit of research I found a great online course and enrolled.  Straight away the background information and the techniques gripped me.  Not much of the information was new […]

How I became a Priestess

Posted Leave a commentPosted in About Me

How I became a Priestess… I found my way to this Priestess Path in 1997 following a bereavement.  I was 19 years old and had never felt so broken, lost or alone.  There was peace in solitude in the woodlands close to where I lived and walking in the raw, elemental beauty of the Lake District.  I spent time in deep reflection and writing in my journal. I sought peace, clarity and connection.   Slowly I found these things by developing a deep love for the earth around me.  The cycle of the seasons and the moon above brought me […]

What is a Spiritual Life Coach?

Posted Leave a commentPosted in About Me

What is a Spiritual Life Coach? I get asked this question alot when I tell people what it is that I do, and I can understand why people ask as it is a relatively unknown title.  It is actually very difficult to put a label on the work that I do.  It is more than Life Coaching as there is a deeper element to my methods and the results people achieve. Transformational Coaching is another title that I could use as this work does bring about deep-rooted changes and self-development.  I also like the term Holistic Coach as this somehow […]

Hi, it’s Caroline. It has been a very long time since I blogged! Since then I have moved website to a beautiful new online home.  I really want this space to become vibrant, with comments and interactions. My vision is for people to be requesting blog topics from me – emailing me with questions that I can answer in blog format.  That is a long way into the future though! For now it is me, the computer in front of me and no audience… and I’m OK with that.  In fact I am more than OK about it – I […]
